Welcome To The Site
Road to Nowhere hasn't been created to compete against other websites, but to run alongside. There's no politics, no campaigns. The site provides information to complement other facilities, providing additional information, whilst also having a little bit of fun. The site has been designed to be as accessible as possible, and work is continuing behind the scenes to continue this. You don't have to be interested in British roads just to have a look round! So please, take a look around. I hope you enjoy the site!
New this week
I've made some additions to the Route Guide. A number of roads have had extra information added, and a few extra photos have been thrown in too. There are new Futures pages on the A15, A505 and A1073.

The site is undergoing continuous expansion, so please beware of incomplete bits and pieces. And if you have any suggestions or ideas for what to add to the site, any pictures you would like to submit, or perhaps you've spotted that a service area is actually a truck stop! If so, please get in touch! Please note that all photos are credited - if you hover your cursor over the photograph, a description appears, which also features the credit to the photographer. A list of credits is being compiled, which will shortly appear in the Credits page.

Hello,
and welcome to Road to Nowhere, a site dedicated to looking at
the major
primary routes and trunk roads of the United Kingdom. Here, you
can find detailed guides and information on these roads. In
addition, the site looks at road features and related topics, well
as a glance over other parts of all things tarmac.
Two
bits of good news! Road to Nowhere has gone mobile... well I have my new
laptop, so I can carry out updates around the house! Bizarrely, I had a
dream where I was I was on holiday in some hot, sunny resort, sat at the
front of the apartment, writing a site update!!! Back to reality, the
other bit of good news is I now have a suitable software replacement for
the one I was previously using.
