M602 Extension
There was a plan
to extend the M602 further into Manchester, eventually meeting up with the A56
at the Chester Road roundabout, the same junction where Mancunian Way ends. Both
motorways were planned to end at the roundabout at grade, rather than cross the
roundabout to form a single motorway.
But what about if
the two motorways were combined to form a single motorway? Running from the M60
to the A635, the route would form a handy cross-city route.
