Site Accessibility

The site is currently being adapted to make it as accessible to as many people as is possible. Some features have been introduced, and this page explains how Road to Nowhere can help you get the most out of the site.

More features are to be introduced in due course.

Access Shortcut Keys
This feature is not available yet, but should be available in the coming months. This will allow users who find using a mouse difficult to navigate the site more easily.

Website Links
Li
nks to other pages or websites will open in the same window. If you prefer to open the page / site in a new window (or tab in some browsers), please right click over the link and select the appropriate option. If a link doesn't seem plain to see, hover your cursor over it - if it is a proper link, a caption box will appear;
try it!

Abbreviations
To make test easier to read, we try to avoid abbreviations and acronyms, but sometimes they do appear; however, where possible, you can hover your cursor over the term to get a full meaning. This feature is gradually being introduced, but you can tell if the abbreviation has been updated if a little grey dash appears beneath it.

Inaccessible Pages
Unfortunately, due to the nature of this site, this website features map diagrams which involve a large volume of graphics and complex coding which makes the relevant pages impossible to view in a non-visual browser. Also, there are a couple of Portable Document Files (pdf's), which non-visual browsers will not be able to access.

Most other pages should be accessible to all readers, regardless of their browser.

Feedback
If you have any ideas and can help improve the site's accessibility, please get in touch.
