A683: Lancaster Northern By-pass

The second phase of the M6 to Heysham Link, the Lancaster Northern Bypass will create a faster route for through traffic wanting to get from the M6 to Morecambe and more so, the Port of Heysham, whilst reducing the amount of traffic passing through the centre of Lancaster.

Work is timetabled to start in 2008 with completion expected in 2010.
