A1033 About the Road Often seen as an extension of the A63, this road proves itself useful by passing the docks and ferry terminal at Hull, hence its primary route status. The road has seen some considerable improvement in the past few years, with most of the road from the A63 through to the end of the docks being widened from single to dual carriageway. The road is unusual in that it TOTSOs in the centre of Hull at a grade separated junction - yet the junction is restricted with west facing slips only (from the A63). To get from one part of the A1033 to the other involves using a short stretch of local unclassified roads!
