About the Road

An important link from the south coast to the M20, taking trunk road traffic away from Folkestone in the process. The road was upgraded from B-road to A-road during the 1970s, yet maintained the same number, before being completely rebuilt during the 1990s to provide a strategic route towards the Channel Tunnel terminal.
