About the Road

One of the most famous roads in the country, more for the route rather than the number - this is the road that carries traffic through the Dartford Crossing, and is commonly mistaken as being part of the M25, despite being built before the motorway came along.

Despite not being a motorway, pedestrians and cyclists are not allowed to use the route - instead a special shuttle bus carries them over the bridge.
