About the Road

The A43 is an important east-west cross country route, providing a strategic route across the South Midlands. The road has seen a large amount of investment in it, mainly between the two motorways it links, the M1 and M40. A lot of the funding was provided by Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula One supremo, in order to improve access to the Silverstone circuit.
