About the Road

The A90, in conjunction with the M90, forms the main route up the eastern side of Scotland via the Forth Road Bridge, linking Edinburgh with Aberdeen and the north-eastern fishing ports of Peterburgh and Fraserburgh. The road originally went as far as Perth, but with the opening of the Perth to Aberdeen dual carriageway, the road was extended northwards, taking part of the A92 with it.
